Saker Nusseibeh, Chief Executive Officer
Saker is Chief Executive of Hermes, chair of its Executive Committee and an Executive Board Director. Saker was appointed CEO in May 2012, having been acting CEO since November 2011. Saker joined the firm in June 2009 as Head of Investment and Executive Board Director. He is responsible for leading the firm’s growth strategy and ensuring that Hermes continues to deliver excellent long-term investment performance, responsibly. Under his leadership, Hermes has achieved outstanding year-on-year growth in sales, revenues and profitability, while contributing widely to the debate about how to improve the contribution of financial services to society. Critically, long-term investment performance has remained at outstanding levels during his tenure.
Harriet Steel, Head of Business Development
Harriet is Head of Business Development, a member of the Executive Committee (ExCo) and an Executive Board Director. She joined the firm in 2011 with responsibility for Sales, Client Service, Marketing, Communications and Product Strategy. Under her leadership, Hermes has built a fast-growing and profitable third-party business in which assets under management for external clients have tripled, and revenues grown from 15% to 70% of the total. Appointed to the Board of Hermes in 2013, Harriet became the company’s first female Executive Director.
Chris Taylor, Chief Executive Officer, Hermes Real Estate and Head of Private Markets
Chris is Head of Real Estate and Private Markets and a member of Hermes’ Executive Committee. Chris joined Hermes in 2010, having spent most of his career as a fund manager at Prudential UK. Under his leadership, Hermes Real Estate has led a number of landmark real estate transactions, including the largest regeneration project in Europe at King’s Cross, the development of the iconic Silverstone circuit, and major regenerations at Paradise Circus Birmingham and central Milton Keynes. As President of the British Property Federation, Chris has engaged actively with Government to recognise the contribution which real estate and infrastructure make as conduits for growth and regeneration.
Ian Kennedy, Chief Operating Officer
Ian Kennedy is Chief Operating Officer for Hermes, a member of the Executive Committee (ExCo), and an Executive Board Director. Ian joined Hermes in 2015, taking responsibility for Finance, IT, Legal, HR, Operations and Facilities. As COO, Ian’s role is to ensure Hermes operates a best-in-class organisational infrastructure to support its clients, investment teams and business development activities. As a member of ExCo, his responsibilities include development of corporate strategy and delivery of profitability.
Gill Clarke, Strategic Risk and Compliance Director
Gill joined Hermes in May 2016 as Strategic Compliance Director. She is responsible for ensuring that Hermes’ compliance structures and processes are organised so that Hermes’ strategic objectives are achieved in a responsible, risk-aware manner. In October 2016, she was appointed Strategic Risk & Compliance Director and joined the Hermes Executive Committee. As a member of ExCo, Gill’s responsibilities include the alignment of Hermes’ risk frameworks with corporate strategy. She also advises the Hermes board on compliance and regulatory matters.
Eoin Murray, Head of Investment
Eoin is Head of Investment and a member of Hermes’ senior leadership team. Eoin also leads the Investment Office, which is responsible to clients for the investment teams’ consistent delivery of responsible, risk-adjusted performance and adherence to the processes which earned them their ‘kitemarks’.
