Hermes Investment Management (Hermes), the £24.1 billion manager focused on delivering superior, sustainable, risk adjusted returns to its clients – responsibly, has appointed Gill Clarke as Strategic Compliance Director, reporting into Chief Executive Saker Nusseibeh.
Based in London, Gill will lead the Compliance team, with responsibility for functional expertise, compliance monitoring and advisory. Furthermore, she will be responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic Compliance plan to establish and maintain the best operational platform for the future growth of the business. Gill will also act as a strategic advisor on all compliance related matters to the Hermes Executive Committee and Board.
With nearly 30 years of industry experience, Gill joins from Close Brothers Asset Management where she was Head of Legal, Compliance and Risk. Previous roles have included Head of International Compliance at Blackrock and Head of Legal, Compliance & Risk Management with ABN AMRO and UBS Global Asset Management.
