What is driving the acceleration of M&A activity in the European telecoms sector?

In the latest instalment of Industry Insights, Joe Howes, Credit Analyst, provides a brief overview of the increasing M&A trends within the telecoms sector and what this means for the credit market.

“So far this year, there have been eight confirmed or early stage speculation transactions within the European telecoms space. Most interestingly, there has been an increasing interest in private equity takeovers as well as strategic shareholders buying out minority interests,” Howes explains.
