Amplified: Finding value in emerging markets

The serious economic problems suffered by Argentina, Turkey, Venezuela and South Africa have dominated news flow in recent months. But the major constituents of the benchmark MSCI Emerging Markets Index – including China, Korea, Taiwan, and India – remain robust.

In this episode of Amplified, Gary Greenberg, Head of Hermes Emerging Markets, discusses the recent weakness in emerging markets – and the opportunities it offers.

“If you take a step back, things are looking pretty healthy in most of these [emerging-market] countries. Therefore, lower valuations in what is a pretty stable, growing environment is something that you should take advantage of – and that is what we do,” he says.
