    Peter Hofbauer - Head of Infrastructure

    Peter has over 30 years of financial services experience including 27 years of global infrastructure investing. He joined Hermes Infrastructure in late 2010 as Head of Infrastructure and has since led all fundraising and investment activity including the raising and deployment of HIF I and all co-investments. Peter chairs the IIC and oversees the management of the Hermes Infrastructure team. His previous roles include Global Head of Infrastructure at Babcock & Brown where he was involved in the origination and management of more than 170 (US$25bn) of infrastructure assets globally and Associate Director at Westpac Banking Corporation, focusing on project finance and advisory services. Peter qualified as a Bachelor of Business at Swinburne University, Melbourne. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor.

    Hamish de Run - Infrastructure Partner

    Hamish has over 20 years of financial services experience including 15 years of global infrastructure investing. He joined Hermes Infrastructure in January 2012 and is responsible for the originating and executing of new investments and managing existing portfolio companies on behalf of Hermes Infrastructure clients. Hamish sits on the IIC and is a director on a number of portfolio company boards including Eurostar, Southern Water and Fallago Rig Wind Farm. Hamish’s previous roles include Senior Advisor to Global Infrastructure Partners, Associate Director of Macquarie Group and Investment Manager of Hastings Funds Management. Hamish started his career with Ernst & Young in 1995, is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Melbourne and a Diploma of Financial Planning.

    Perry Noble - Infrastructure Partner

    Perry has over 20 years of experience as a transaction lawyer primarily working in infrastructure investment across all sectors. Perry joined Hermes Infrastructure in 2012 becoming a Partner in 2013. He oversees the structuring, analysis, transition and management of infrastructure investments and is a member of the IIC. He is a director on various portfolio company boards, including the board of the Thames Water holding company. Previously a Partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, he was also Asia Managing Partner, Global Head of Finance and a member of the firm’s executive committee. He was Independent Chairman of Connect Plus from 2010-2014, the consortium company responsible for the upgrade and maintenance of the M25 under a 25 year PPP contract. Perry is a qualified solicitor and holds a BA Law (Hons) from North East London Polytechnic and an LLM from the University of Bristol.

    Robert Wall - Infrastructure Partner

    Robert has over ten years of experience investing in infrastructure globally. Robert joined Hermes Infrastructure in 2016 as Partner responsible for originating and executing new investments and managing existing portfolio companies on behalf of Hermes Infrastructure clients. He sits on the IIC. He joined from the CPP Investment Board (‘CPPIB’) where he worked for nine years in both Toronto and London. As a member of the infrastructure investments team at CPPIB, Robert was responsible for executing large-scale direct infrastructure investments in multiple jurisdictions and acted as a Board Director of major infrastructure companies in Europe and Australia, including as a Director of Associated British Ports. Robert's early career was in civil engineering in the UK and New Zealand. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Queen's University in Canada and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

    Sion Colley - Investment Manager

    Sion has over nine years of financial services experience of which eight have been focused on infrastructure investing. He joined Hermes Infrastructure in 2011 and is responsible for the sourcing, analysis, due diligence and monitoring of investments. Sion is a director on selected portfolio company boards. In Sion’s previous role as Senior Executive at Ernst & Young he provided infrastructure advisory services to private markets and public sector clients, focusing on the renewable energy sector. He holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford and is a Chartered Accountant.

    Emma Lewis - Investment Manager

    Emma has over 15 years of financial services experience of which ten have been focused on the infrastructure sector. She joined Hermes Infrastructure in 2013 and is primarily responsible for the monitoring of investments across the infrastructure portfolio, with team involvement in deal sourcing, analysis and due diligence. She is a director on selected portfolio company boards. Emma manages the quarterly reporting to investors with input from the Finance and Investor Relations teams. In her previous role as a Director at Deloitte LLP, she focused on providing assurance, advisory and transaction-related services to listed, private and infrastructure fund-owned businesses in the UK and globally. Emma holds a BA in Accounting and Law from the University of Newcastle and is a Chartered Accountant.

    Kirsty Shaw - Investment Manager, Business Development

    Kirsty has over six years of fund raising and investor relations experience, all of which have been in the infrastructure sector. She joined Hermes Infrastructure in 2016 and is an Investment Manager in the Infrastructure Team focused on business development and supporting all infrastructure capital raising activities. In her previous role as Investor Relations Manager at Equitix Investment Management Limited, she was responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with global institutional investors and consultants, and developing and managing fund raising strategies across several funds and managed accounts. Kirsty holds a BA in Sociology & Social Policy from the University of Durham.

    Lauryn Cunningham - Associate

    Lauryn has over six years of experience in infrastructure investing. She joined Hermes Infrastructure in 2012 and is responsible for the sourcing, analysis, due diligence and monitoring of investments across the infrastructure sector. In her previous role at Macquarie Capital, Lauryn provided infrastructure advisory services to private market clients relating to acquisition and refinancing processes with a focus on power, utilities and transport infrastructure transactions. Lauryn holds a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

    Nicholas Hards - Associate

    Nick has over five years of experience in infrastructure investing. He joined Hermes Infrastructure in 2011 as an Analyst and is now an Associate responsible for the modelling, analysis and monitoring of investments focused in the renewable energy and regulated utilities sectors. Nick has also worked on several successful divestments as part of Hermes Infrastructure’s ongoing management of its portfolio activities. Nick has a BA in Economics from the University of the West of England.

    Rhianydd Griffith - Associate

    Rhianydd has over seven years of financial services experience including four years within the infrastructure sector. She joined the infrastructure investment team as an associate in September 2014 and is primarily responsible for the structuring, analysis, execution and monitoring of investments. Prior to joining Hermes Infrastructure, she was a member of the Hermes legal team, where she advised the BT Pension Scheme on investments in a range of asset classes including infrastructure. Previously, she qualified as a solicitor in the investment funds team at Reed Smith LLP advising both investors and managers on a range of investment related issues. Rhianydd completed part of her training in Reed Smith’s corporate, insolvency and commercial real estate teams. She holds a LLB in Law, and an LPC, both from the University of Nottingham.

    Belen joined Hermes Infrastructure in 2015 and is responsible for the modelling, analysis and monitoring of investments across the infrastructure sector. Previously she was an analyst at investment bank Nomura International PLC. Belen has a BA in Business Administration from the ESADE Business School.

    Hasmeen Deol - Analyst

    Hasmeen joined Hermes Infrastructure in 2016 and is responsible for the analysis and ongoing monitoring of investments across the infrastructure portfolio. She joined from Citigroup where she was an Assistant Vice President in the Markets and Security Services team. Hasmeen has a BSc in Mathematics with Management and Finance from Kings College London.

    Hayley French - Team Assistant

    Hayley provides administrative support to the team, ensuring the office runs smoothly. Her previous experience includes roles at Baird Capital Partners Europe and Stonehage Investment Partners. She started her career in administration at Wilberforce Chambers. Hayley holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Kent.

In addition to the dedicated infrastructure team members, senior professional personnel are engaged to undertake various investment specific roles. Currently the following senior professionals provide support to the Hermes infrastructure team.

Willie MacDiarmid
Willie was appointed as the Independent Chairman of Fallago Rig in April 2014 and brings extensive experience in the energy sector. He has held Senior Executive or main Board positions at Scottish Power, Eaga Plc and was the CEO at May Gurney and Barchester Healthcare. He has also Chaired industry bodies whilst working alongside both UK and Scottish Governments. Willie is also a Non- executive Director at Smart Metering Systems and Business Stream and Chairs the Remuneration Committee at both companies.

Nick Horler
Nick became a Non-executive Director of Thames Water Utilities in May 2014. His Non-executive Director roles include the Royal Mail, since 2010, and the Go-Ahead Group since 2011. Nick has been the Chairman of Alderney Renewable Energy Ltd since 2013 and the Chairman of Meter Provida Ltd since 2014. He recently stepped down as the Chairman of the Advisory Board of KPMGu2019s Energy and Natural Resources practice which he held from 2011-2014. Nick spent his executive career in the energy industry, working in a variety of roles for 12 years in the UK and US for Phillips Petroleum, and 11 years with E.On with eight years on the Board of E.On UK, first as Managing Director of PowerGen Energy Trading Ltd and then as Managing Director of E.On Retail. Nick also spent over two years as the CEO of Scottish Power from 2008 to 2010.

Sandy Rae
Sandy became the general manager of Fallago Rig in May 2014 on a part-time basis. He is responsible for the general oversight of the Fallago Rig commercial, asset and business operations.

Sandy has over 30 yearsu2019 experience in the energy industry. As a trained engineer, he has worked across the industry in power stations, transmission and in commercial positions. Sandy also provides advisory services in asset management, operations, risk management, energy management/trading and regulation. His other recent engagements have included advising clients on risk management and market reform.
