Volatility in the US hospital space has returned. With the presidential election fast approaching, how will US high-yield hospital operators fare over the course of the year?

In the latest instalment of Industry Insights, Robin Usson, Credit Analyst, reflects on developments in the US hospital sector and considers the outlook for the industry.

“We see two important near-term risks for US hospitals. The first one is the outcome of the US elections and its ramifications on the Affordable Care Act under its current form, and the second is the potential for reduced aid towards the healthcare sector under the second stimulus package being discussed by Congress” Usson explains.
