Biography

Ben joined in 2010 and has almost 30 years’ experience in the property industry in the UK and Europe. Since joining, he has been involved with a number of fund and investment management mandates including Federated Hermes Property Unit Trust, the BT Pension Scheme and Metro Property Unit Trust. He has also played a key role in a number of joint ventures including the Westfield Shopping Centre Partnership, partnerships with M&G and Australian Super in Milton Keynes, the Bluewater Shopping Centre Partnership, and the joint venture with The Cooperative Group at the 2.5 million square feet NOMA development in Manchester. He sits on two Partnership Boards and is a member of our Real Estate Investment Committee.

Before joining, Ben was Head of Asset Management at Edinburgh House Estates, David Roberts’ property vehicle in the UK, and Managing Director of Estama GmbH, the company’s German subsidiary, responsible for a European investment portfolio of over €2.5bn. Prior to that, he was a Partner at Donaldsons, the retail and shopping centre specialist, where he gained private practice experience in a range of professional and managerial roles.

A Durham University graduate, he holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Property Valuation and Management and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Investment Property Forum.
