Heejae joined Federated Hermes GPE in Singapore in 2020 and contributes to all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, due diligence and monitoring of co-investments and funds across the Asia Pacific region.
He joined from Nomura Investment Banking Division where he was an Associate in the Korea coverage team, primarily engaged in sponsor-led buyouts, strategic cross-border transactions and initial public offerings. Prior to that, he was an intern in the KKR Private Equity team and Citi Investment Banking Division, both in Seoul. Heejae served as an interpreter in US Forces Korea Public Affairs Office for his mandatory military service. He holds a BA in Business Management from Yonsei University. Heejae is a Korean national and speaks fluent English.
