Biography

Daniel Peris is head of the Income and Value Group and is responsible for the Strategic Value Dividend suite of products. He has 25 years of investment experience.

Daniel is the author of “The Ownership Dividend (London: Routledge, 2024)” and “Getting Back to Business: Why Modern Portfolio Theory Fails Investors and How You Can Bring Common Sense to Your Portfolio.” Daniel is also the author of “The Strategic Dividend Investor,” and the follow up, “The Dividend Imperative: How Dividends Can Narrow the Gap Between Wall Street and Main Street.”

Prior to his current position, Daniel supported the Strategic Value Dividend products as a senior portfolio manager, portfolio manager and senior analyst. Before joining Federated Hermes in 2002, he worked for Argus Research Corp.

Daniel obtained a bachelor’s degree from Williams College and a master’s degree from Oxford University. He also earned a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois and held a post-doctoral fellowship at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. Daniel is a CFA® charterholder and is the author of a book and several articles on modern Russian history and studied as a Fulbright-Hays Scholar in the former Soviet Union.
