Shoa Hirosato
Shoa Hirosato supports engagements in Asian markets, predominantly with Japanese companies. He focuses on the themes of corporate governance, natural resource stewardship, and pollution, waste, and circular economy. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he researched the impact of political forces on sustainability programs in the Philippines. Shoa speaks English, Japanese and some Tagalog.
Howard Risby
Howard has over 16 years’ experience working in ESG / sustainability, and joined the EOS team in April 2022. He engages with European headquartered companies in the oil & gas, mining and financial services sector. Prior to joining EOS Howard worked in the Sustainability & Climate Change team at PwC, where he worked across corporate sustainability consulting projects, internal audit ESG governance reviews and supporting private equity houses on ESG related due diligence. Prior to PwC, Howard worked at the sustainability consultancy ERM (Environmental Resources Management). Howard has worked across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.
Justin Bazalgette
Justin engages with companies primarily from Germany, UK, France and Switzerland. He comes with 35 years of working in the corporate sector and with a number of roles associated with ESG resulting in Group Head of Sustainability for an international automotive organisation. In the last 5 years he has run his own sustainability consultancy and brings to Federated Hermes a wealth of real-world experience which will help inform investor decisions around improving corporate sustainability and governance. He has an engineering degree and a Masters in Business Administration, is a Chartered Environmentalist and a Chartered Manager. He has many years of experience of dealing with senior management from differing countries and cultures and speaks fluent French.
J. Christopher Donahue
Christopher Donahue, chairman of Federated Hermes, Inc., has served as director, president and chief executive officer of the company since 1998. As such, he determines and develops the firm’s long-term strategies and goals. Donahue joined the company in 1972, and served as president and chief operating officer from 1993 to 1998.
