Hermes strengthens private debt platform with new hire

Hermes Investment Management has announced the appointment of Kevin Roche as a Director for Private Debt and CLO’s. Reporting to the Head of Direct Lending, Laura Vaughan, Kevin will be based in London and will work across the private debt platform.

The private debt team manage European and UK direct lending strategies focused on senior-secured loans in the mid-market space. Co-lending partnerships with partner banks in the UK and Europe provide a strong origination pipeline which is utilised in conjunction with the team’s own pan-European reach.

In his new role, Kevin will help to develop the Hermes business globally within private debt. Before joining Hermes, Kevin was a Director at Allied Irish Banks, where he was responsible for delivering leveraged finance loans to mid-market private equity backed companies. Prior to this, Kevin worked across loan capital markets, structured finance and debt at NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland, where he developed strong experience in origination, deal structuring and execution.
