Federated Hermes Limited has announced the appointment of Kerry Amies who joins the firm as its Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Business Partner. She will be based in London and report to Ursula Henry, Head of International Decision Support and Executive Sponsor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
In her role, Kerry will be responsible for leading and implementing the firm’s diversity strategy, by implementing policies, building frameworks and activating initiatives that will enable employees to maximise their potential, while helping the firm deliver stronger long-term business performance.
Kerry joins from T. Rowe Price where she spent eight years as Senior Manager and Vice President for DEI and, prior to that, HR Business Partner. Kerry spent nine years working for Baker McKenzie as HR Business Partner for the UK and Interim HR Director for the United Arab Emirates.
As an active member of the Ambassador Group for the Diversity Project UK, Kerry champions greater diversity and inclusion across the UK’s Investments and Savings sectors and contributed to the launch of the Diversity Project across Europe. She holds an MA in Human Resource Management and is a member of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Ursula Henry, Head of International Decision Support, and Executive Sponsor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Federated Hermes Limited: “We have made good progress with our DEI agenda in the last few years, increasing representation of women across the firm; establishing seven employee led networks with over 200 members; and getting our newly formed Menopause Working Group off the ground to name but a few of the achievements.
“Kerry is a seasoned DEI leader with a strong track record of delivering impactful initiatives. Earlier this year we launched our revised and updated DEI Strategy, and her leadership will be vital as we work to deliver on these key projects. Aiding our wider aims of ensuring our firm remains a community for all, and well positioned to deliver for our clients”.
