Biography

Peter is responsible for private equity investment decisions and for all aspects of the Federated Hermes private equity investment process. He leads the co-investment program and decisions on allocation and strategy for individual client portfolio construction. He is a member of the Federated Hermes Private Markets Management Committee, Chair of the Private Equity Investment Committees, and is a member of the Private Equity Senior Management Team. He has 41 years of investment experience, including 32 years in private equity. Previously he was Managing Director and CIO of Gartmore Private Equity, which became Hermes GPE LLP in 2010 and was the predecssor to Federated Hermes' Private Equity team. Prior to this he was Investment Manager of the National Westminster Bank Pension Fund (later known as the RBS Group Pension Fund) where he initiated both the private equity and co-investment programs. Peter holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Oxford and a BA in Economics from the University of Exeter.
