The International business of Federated Hermes is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Davies as the Head of Strategic Risk & Compliance, subject to regulatory approval. He joins from M&G plc, where he was most recently Chief Risk and Compliance / Resilience Officer.

He will lead the Compliance and Risk teams ensuring regulatory best practice across the business in support of the organisation’s strategic vision and long-term objectives. He will also be a member of the Executive Management Committee and represent the International business of Federated Hermes to Regulators.

Prior to his role as M&G’s Chief Risk and Compliance / Resilience Officer, Keith was Chief Risk Officer for Prudential Portfolio Management Group and previously ran audit globally for Prudential plc. Before joining Prudential, he spent six years at Deutsche Bank in several roles including as Global Audit Director for Legal, Risk and Compliance. He is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Risk & Audit Committee for Admiral Insurance’s UK Underwriting Subsidiaries.

Saker Nusseibeh, CEO, International at Federated Hermes, said:

“Successfully navigating the regulatory landscape and ensuring our risk and compliance processes remain of the highest standard is a clear priority for us, so we are very pleased to welcome someone of Keith’s track record and experience. He will be an important addition to our Executive Committee.”

Keith Davies commented:

“The International business of Federated Hermes has a world class reputation when it comes to responsible investing. Its vision for investing is a key differentiator, based on sustainable long-term returns supported by strong investor engagement, which offers a compelling vision for the future. I am delighted to be joining.”

Keith takes over from Karen Jordan, who performed the role on an interim basis. Karen joined the International business of Federated Hermes in May 2019 to support a number of projects. She took on the interim role following the passing of Gill Clarke earlier this year after a long illness.

Keith will join the firm on the 1st July.
