Federated Hermes, Inc. (NYSE: FHI), a global leader in active investing, today announced the appointment of Edward Lo as Head of Wholesale Business Development, Asia ex-Japan, based in Hong Kong.
Edward’s appointment builds on Federated Hermes’ plans to establish a Hong Kong office, subject to the relevant regulatory approvals, and reflects the firm’s continued investment in Asia Pacific, reinforcing its commitment to banks, wealth managers, family offices and institutional investors across the region.
Reporting to Jim Roland, Head of Distribution for Asia Pacific, Edward will lead wholesale business development across Asia ex-Japan, strengthening relationships with banks, wealth managers, family offices and institutional clients. He brings more than 20 years of experience in asset management, specialising in wholesale distribution and business development across Asia. He joins Federated Hermes from Baillie Gifford, where he led financial intermediary distribution in the region. Previously, he held senior roles at Pictet Asset Management and Allianz Global Investors, building long-standing relationships with financial intermediaries and institutional investors across the region.
Asia is a strategically important region for Federated Hermes, and Asian clients are increasingly seeking investment partners that can support more sophisticated investment strategies and portfolio construction. Edward’s extensive experience across the intermediary market, combined with his deep understanding of clients’ evolving needs, will strengthen our relationships with distribution partners and institutional clients across the region and support the continued growth of our Asia business.
