Joseph is General Counsel with overall responsibility for the firm’s in-house Legal and Company Secretarial teams. He joined in April 2010 as a Director in the Legal team. He is a member of the senior management team and serves as a director of Federated Hermes Investment Funds plc (UCITS fund umbrella) and Hermes Fund Managers Ireland Limited, in addition to a number of other Federated Hermes group entities and fund vehicles. Prior to joining, Joseph was in private practice at City law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP for nine years, where he practised corporate and funds law. Joseph is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and as an attorney in South Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and LL.B degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town.
