Federated Hermes Limited, a global leader in active, responsible investment management, has today announced that Dinesh Gautam is joining the firm’s Real Estate Debt team as Associate Director effective from 16 September 2024.
In his new role, Dinesh will report into Paul Robinson, Director, to support in the origination, structuring and execution of real estate loans. He will work with the team as it continues to originate lending opportunities, structure customised loans to ensure income capture, and deliver long-term, risk-adjusted returns for investors.
Dinesh joins from Bank J. Safra Sarasin, where he was responsible for the underwriting, execution, and restructuring of senior debt mandates secured against commercial real estate assets for high-net-worth families and UK corporations. Previously, Dinesh built a broad skill set across several firms, with a focus on deal structuring, execution, and portfolio management of senior and mezzanine real estate development and investment loans.
With over $2bn of assets under management, the Private Credit division of Federated Hermes provides investors with access to the leading loan opportunities in Europe across both Direct Lending and Real Estate Debt investment strategies. The Real Estate Debt business of Federated Hermes was launched in 2015 and seeks to deliver stable, uncorrelated, through-the-cycle returns from sustainable real estate assets, with a relative value approach to selecting opportunities, underpinned by an asset-focused and conservative underwriting.
This appointment forms part of the business’ growth strategy and follows the appointment of Paul Robinson as Director, Origination & Structuring in early 2024.
