Steve joined Federated Hermes Limited in September 2020 as Managing Director, Private Markets. In this role he is responsible for supporting the future growth of the firm’s private market investment capabilities through the creation of a platform-approach to business strategy, distribution, product and operating support models. As part of this role, Steve oversees the day-to-day activities of Hermes GPE LLP, our specialist private equity and infrastructure business.

Steve has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He joined from Blackrock, where he was the European COO for its alternatives business. There, he was instrumental in implementing a single overarching business strategy, working closely with management and asset class heads. Prior to Blackrock, Steve was Head of Man FRM Managed Accounts.

Steve is a member of the Senior Management Team and Chair of the Hermes GPE LLP Executive Committee.
