Federated Hermes appoints Paul Robinson to Real Estate Debt team

Federated Hermes a global leader in active, responsible investment management, has announced the strengthening of its Real Estate Debt team with the appointment of Paul Robinson as Director, Origination & Structuring.

With over $2bn of assets under management, the Private Credit division of Federated Hermes provides investors with unrivalled access to the leading loan opportunities in Europe across both Direct Lending and Real Estate Debt investment strategies.

The Real Estate Debt business of Federated Hermes was launched in 2015 and seeks to deliver stable, uncorrelated, through-the-cycle returns from sustainable real estate assets, with a relative value approach to selecting opportunities, underpinned by an asset-focused and conservative underwriting.

In this newly created role, as Director, Origination & Structuring based in London, Robinson will report to Vincent Nobel, Head of Asset Based Lending and will be responsible for driving the origination of lending opportunities, and design of customised loan structuring to ensure income capture and to deliver stable and consistent income distributions to investors over the long-term.

Robinson joins having previously headed up the underwriting teams at Trimont Real Estate Advisors and Hudson Advisors. Prior to this Robinson held roles within the commercial real estate businesses of banks including Lloyds, Hypo Real Estate and Anglo Irish, having started his career at GE Capital.
