Harnessing investor capital to change companies for good, from within
David joined Federated Hermes Small & Mid Cap team in March 2007 to co-manage Hermes' UK smaller company strategies. He is a former Citywire AAA ranked fund manager and was nominated for Financial Express’s ‘Best Fund Manager in UK Equities’ award. Before joining Federated Hermes, he worked for Montanaro Investment Managers, an independent fund management company that specialises in smaller companies, where he spent five years as head of research.
David started his career at Carrington Pembroke (subsequently taken over by ABN Amro), where he worked as an analyst and then as a portfolio manager. He went on to do an MBA at London Business School, after which he joined Jardine Fleming Securities (Asia), where he worked as the regional consumer analyst for Asia. He has a BA (Hons) in Economics from Durham University and an MBA from London Business School.
