Winner: OpRisk Asset Manager of the Year 2020
In June, OpRisk named the International business of Federated Hermes as Asset Manager of the Year 2020.
The OpRisk Awards recognise financial-services firms who are “thinking differently” about operational risk, and “who see the function as an active shield against costly missteps and reputational damage, to protect themselves and their customers”.
Impressed by the integration of the Federated Hermes Pledge in our efforts to manage non-financial risk, the judges stated that “its impact on staff behaviours, its applicability to the current environment, the quality of group ORM [Operational Risk Management] internally more broadly, and its subsequent rollout across the Federated business” contributed to a strong culture that underpins our risk controls.

Winner: Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year Awards 2020
In the 2020 Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year Awards, Federated Hermes Global Emerging Markets team was named winner of the Global Emerging Markets Equities category – for the third time since 2017.
The awards honour fund managers and groups which the judges believe are leading the industry. Crucially, the judges have conviction in the ability of the winners to continue to succeed in the future.
The judges highlighted the Federated Hermes Global Emerging Markets team’s robust approach, which features both top-down and bottom-up analysis and a focus on companies generating sustainable growth, and noted its long-term focus.
